What is FandangoNOW?
FandangoNOW is an American digital video store and streaming service. Fandango Media, LLC is an American ticketing company that sells movie tickets via their website as well as through their mobile app, as well as a provider of television and streaming media information, e.g., through its subsidiaries Flixster, Movies.com, and Rotten Tomatoes. (R) There are no installation costs, activation fees, or rental fees. There is also no monthly subscription.
This service was formerly known as M-GO and was re-branded as FandangoNOW in early 2016. FandangoNOW is similar to Vudu. FandangoNOW’s library contains over 90,000 new releases, classic favorites, and TV shows – all subscription-free. Many of the movies are fresh out theaters. Renting movies and TV shows are a little more expensive than other services but are typically less expensive than DVD and Blu-ray. How Much Does FandangoNOW Cost?
The price of FandangoNOW depends on what you wish to watch. There are no subscriptions or late fees with FandangoNOW.
Cord-cutters can rent or purchase movies and there is also a small selection of free titles. FandangoNOW offers a selection of TV shows and movies that change from time to time. At the time this article was written it was possible to watch Selma, Ali, and several other titles for free.
The majority of new movies available to purchase will cost $9.99 to $19.99. Typical rental prices range from $2.99 to $7.99. For example, at the time of this publication Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is $4.99 to rent and $19.99 to purchase. FandangoNOW also offers a very nice deals section that includes a library of movies under $3, $5, and $8. Some of the popular titles under $3 included Alien Predator, Open Water, Mud, Nerve, and others.
All purchased movies are available at any time. Rentals are good for 30 days. Depending on your rental, once you begin viewing you will have 24 to 48 hours to finish. FandangoNOW has almost every major title released in movie theatres over the past several decades. You can find movies direct from theaters and classic movie titles from decades past.
TV shows are also available for purchase. Unlike Vudu, you cannot rent TV show episodes. The typical price per episode of a TV show is $1.99 to $7.99; however, purchasing entire seasons is a better value. The typical price to buy a season of a TV show is $20 to $30. Popular TV shows that are available include titles such as Paw Patrol, Rick and Morty, The Big Bang Theory, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Game of Thrones, and more.
