Riverdale (R) is an American teen drama television series. The show is based on the characters of Archie Comics. The TV show follows Archie Andrews’ life in the small town of Riverdale. The series offers a bold, subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surreality of small-town life, the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade. While navigating the troubled waters of sex, romance, school and family, teen Archie and his gang become entangled in a dark mystery.
The series debuted on January 26, 2017, to positive reviews. In January 2019, The CW renewed the series for a fourth season, later to be revealed of 22 episodes. The fourth season premiered on October 9, 2019. In February 2021, the series was renewed for a sixth season which premiered on November 16, 2021.
